Talking about pet sitting

On Friday I was sitting in the waiting room of Enterprise and the guy helping me commented about my biz logo shirt. He said, wow, pet sitting, that must be really easy.

I realized that many people think pet sitting is easy and cant justify paying someone money to do something so "simple" so they get friends to do it for free.

Pet sitting is more then just walking the dog or feeding the pets. It is knowing when the pets arent feeling well. Its knowing how to deal with issues that arise. Its knowing what requires vet care. Its knowing when food and treats are spoiled. Its knowing how to maintain peace and balance in a home with multiple pets. Its giving pets one on one attention that they would miss out on in a boarding kennel. Its taking the time to notice when bowel movements arent normal. Its knowing when eating patterns have changed. Its also rotating lights, turning on tv/music for pets, its taking recycle bins/trash out. its bringing in the mail and packages. Its cleaning bowls after the pets eat. Its keeping the pets area clean. Its removing scorpions and rattlesnakes from the yard to keep the pets safe! Its noticing that the water heater is leaking!

And most of all.....Its taking care of pets because you love them, not because you have too.

Pet sitting is full time passion and love. It starts with meeting new clients and finding people to trust you with their furkids. To do this, professional pet sitters manage their websites, manage online advertising, market, work on promotional flyers, etc. We network with other business to we can provide referrals to our clients if they ever need outside services.
We take classes, research pet info, stay up to date on current food dangers. We are there for our clients 24/7. If you ever have a pet question, please feel free to ask. I started this business to help other pet owners!

Professional pet sitters have contracts, proper insurance, bond, background checks, etc. to protect their clients.

So yes in essense, pet sitting seems easy, but there is so much hard work and dedication that goes into it! Its taking care of someones home and fur children. Its an important job that needs to be taken seriously!

I actually get hired after people have bad experience from ahving friends watch their pets!

Think about the following: My business is my life. Its all I do. Its my number one priority. Holidays, weekends, last minute trips, call me I will be there for your pets!I am there because I want to be and I truly love what I do. Each of my clients pets are like my own. So when I say that I want to be your Scottsdale pet sitter, I really mean it!

Pet food is a million dollar industry. There are companies out there that sell pet foods strictly for profit. They are corporations like Mars, Del Monte, etc... The bottom line is their number one concern...not our pets health! They use cheap fillers and meat scraps.

Smaller pet food companies like Natura(Innova), Natural Balance, Wellness, focus on only sellling pet products. They use quality ingredients. They are smaller companies that save money by not advertising on the television;they put that money into quality ingredients like USDA grade meats!Any food that you se a commercial for is not going to be very good for our peyts. Millions of dollars that they put into advertising..thats money not going to quality ingredients!

It starts with reading labels....any food that has corn as the main ingredient is going to cause more harm then good to our dogs!!

Truth about dog food. This information is eye opening!! Dont believe the commercials you see on tv, those are usually the worst foods!
Foods I recommend:Natural Balance-
Natures Variety
Canidae

Iams Cruelty. Iams used to be fine until they merged with Eukanuba, then they lessened the quality of ingredients:(
